Invisalign Treatment Madison & Verona
Nowadays it seems more and more people are walking around with beautifully straightened teeth. While not everyone is genetically blessed with perfectly straight pearly-whites, Invisalign has made the process of straightening your teeth almost as easy as saying “cheese”.
It’s true that a straightened smile can make you feel more confident and outgoing, but orthodontic dentistry also has several health benefits. With straightened teeth, you may enjoy lessened risks for bite-related problems such as TMJ or jaw pain, can enjoy a more functional mouth and smile, and reduce dental health risks when cleaning the teeth becomes easier.
Invisalign clear aligners discreetly straighten your teeth using custom-made clear trays that rest just over the teeth. There’s no poking or prodding of your inner cheeks, and they’re so clear that you may be the only one to notice you’re wearing them. They’re also easily removable, so go ahead and indulge in your favorite foods and treats.
First we’ll take diagnostic impressions and X-rays to plan your treatment and produce the rendering of your finished smile. These are used to build a series of custom aligners that mark progress through the treatment plan. Patients wear the aligners for 20-22 hours a day, removed only when you eat, brush and floss.
How Long Does Invisalign Take?
The more you wear your aligners, the faster your teeth will gradually move into their ideal position. Each patient is different and the length of treatment will vary depending on your unique case. At your initial consultation for Invisalign your dentist may be able to offer a tentative prediction of how long it will take to straighten your teeth.
Throughout your treatment with Invisalign you will see your dentist for periodic checkups. You may achieve your new vibrant smile in as little as a few months, to just over a year. As a health benefit, our Invisalign clear aligners are made from BPA-free plastic.
Did Fido eat your retainer? Again? Remember, if your retainer was recently lost, broken or eaten by the family pet it’s better to replace it sooner than later. Your teeth will move faster than you think! At Associated Dentists we’re happy to make or replace a retainer anytime you need. Come in and we can discuss the type of retainer that would be best for you.
