Dr. Jim Sands is a partner and general dentist at Associated Dentists at the Verona office. Dr. Sands graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska and completed his dental education at Creighton University School of dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. He is experienced in all facets of dentistry and feels that continued education is extremely important to provide his patients with the latest innovations and techniques that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Sands has completed extensive coursework in implant dentistry and is now able to offer implant dentistry to his patients. He is currently working towards an associate fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Sands understands the fear that some people feel when visiting the dentist. His warm and reassuring personality helps put his patients, some of whom may have previously avoided the dentist, at ease. Dr. Sands welcomes all patients, from young children, to seniors, and everyone in between.

Dr Sands and his wife Katy have three young children, Connor, Jackson, and Tierney that are keeping them both very busy. In the little free time that he has these days he enjoys running, skiing, photography and traveling.
